Nobody panic! We just got word that The Easter Bunny is an essential worker! It’s time to party in place… Although this coming Easter Sunday will likely not be celebrated in the traditional way, there are fun ways to keep the whole family involved.
Stay Connected
Hop on a video conference site such as Zoom or GoToMeeting, you can call up the whole family for brunch! Video conferencing software lets you connect people from multiple locations into a single chat. Most of these solutions allow for video, voice and even text chat, ensuring that people won’t be left out if they lack a webcam or have slow internet service. Some of these options even allow the use of virtual backgrounds, so you can set a favorite photo or other image as a backdrop for your video call as an added bit of fun. We recommend having a test run a day or two before, to work out any kinks!
Get Crafty
With more time on our hands then usual, this is the perfect time to kick your decorations up a notch! There may be more inspiration laying around than you think… head over to Hello Wonderful for Easter craft ideas the kiddos will love, with supplies you may have just laying around! If you cant decide which craft to choose from, have everyone get together and pick three they\’d like to do. Once you’ve got the options chosen, put them all in a hat or other container and draw a couple out.
Keep Traditions Alive
Even though many of the traditions we hold near to our hearts won\’t be possible this year, like making a special dish with a grandparent or attending a church event with friends and family. Well with a little research, you might be able to attend an Easter Service after all. Many churches are organizing virtual services complete with a church coir and all! If you feel like your family is still missing out on the usual Easter fun, it would be a great year to invent a new tradition!
