Those of us who are fortunate enough to work from our homes may be struggling to stay focused and be productive, we’ve got your back!
We’re pro’s and we curated a list of helpful work-from-home tips to keep you on track, in hopes of keeping some sort of normalcy amidst the current chaos.
Get ready for the day as if you were getting ready to go into the office! Working from home is a luxury… but when WFH goes from a once-in-a-while treat to a full time obligation, sticking to your morning routine can turn out to be the glue that keeps it all together!
Set up a designated work space. Working from the comfort of your own home SHOULD be comfy… but productivity will more than likely nose dive if you set up shop on the couch or in bed. It’s best to set up at a desk or table so you can sit up straight and spread out a little.
Create a daily schedule for yourself. Time block all the tasks you need to accomplish for the day, noting how long will be spent on each task to hold yourself accountable. Be sure to set aside time for brain breaks and snacks, keeping some structure in your day will increase your productivity!
Whatever curveballs working form home throws your way… there\’s an app for that 😜 You can use Google Calendar to keep your days organized, CaveDay (daily focused work sessions) to maximize productivity with deep work and even Zoom to hold virtual meetings!
Distractions are inevitable. Your new co-workers might include tiny humans that want snacks all day, or maybe a 4 legged, furry colleague that mostly naps. While there is still work to be done, there are also moments to be appreciated.
