We are so lucky!

We are so lucky!

We are so lucky to live in California – in particular southern Cali. Today is January 15, 2014 and I am sitting at the beach basking in the sun. The sun that is by tradition or relevance should not be out at this time of year.  It’s 82 degrees with a slight cool breeze every so often.

Laying on a bench with barely any shade I am writing this blog. As I stair at the ocean, it’s tranquility takes over and I fall into a heavy gaze. To have the ability to sit right here in this very serene moment brings me pure joy. The sound of waves crashing against the rocks, sight of the glistening sun against the water, and the smell of the ocean air. Really, until you have experienced it there is nothing quite like it.

I can’t help but think of deep thoughts.. You know the really thought provoking kind. Where you meditate on one sentence or thought because your mind is so fixated.

The one statement that is playing like a broken record is…how lucky am I to be right here at this very moment.

The ocean somehow whisks away life’s worries and instills a sense of balance and peace.
